Where Should I Begin?????????

Hello There! It has been so long since I last posted I have no idea where to begin...let's see...since I last posted....Halloween came and went...the kids had lots of fun...Connor was Darth Vader--we kept trying to get him to say, "Luke, I am your Father" but he just wouldn't do it! haha As for Lil' Miss Kate she was supposed to be a fru fru black cat but she refused to wear the suit...so she was just her adorable self. Fast Forward to Thanksgiving--run run run trying to see everyone back in Paris....didn't happen though, Kate got sick, had to be treated for PINK EYE so since we were all "contaminated" we didn't get to see anyone on Chad's side and only a handful on mine (before we realized she was contagious)...first time in 37 years Chad missed his Granny's Thanksgiving Dinner! =(

On December 1st we had Connor's birthday party with all his friends and family...he had a blast...Spiderman and SpongeBob party! (His real bday was Nov 26, but its hard to get friends and family together right there at Thanksgiving, so we waited and did it on the 1st) Moving on to December, it has been very busy! We had our family celebration with my Mom's family on Dec 8th..we met as a family that morning and sang carols at the nursing home for Granny Ree and the other residents...she really seemed to know some of us that day...an answer to our prayers since we all realize this will probably be her last Christmas with us. Then that evening we met for the family dinner, Santa presents for the kiddos, and had a big singing...our family LOVES To sing!! This Saturday my Mom, Dad, Mendy, Wes and Maverick and Remington will be coming to our house for our Annual White Family Christmas, then on Sunday we will go to Powderly for our Brannan Family Christmas, then we will come home, have Christmas Eve at home...probably go to a Christmas Eve service (Thanks Misty for introducing us to that tradition) and then put out our reindeer food and cookies for Santa. On Christmas Day we will head back to Paris and see as many family members as we can in one day!!!!!!!!

As for the house in Louisiana...looks like it will be ready the latter part of January....so far we really love how it is turning out---we met our neighbors last week..a stay home mom too...YEAH..... I think everything is falling into place for our move...guess time will tell.

Pics are of Halloween, Connor's #5 Birthday, the New house in Hammond, and one cute shot of the kids when they were completely SICK and TIRED of trying to make a pic for the Christmas cards. Brotherly love, huh??? haha

Take care--til next time! Kan

~Welcome Fall~

Hello, Everyone! Been a while since I have updated you on our bunch...so here you go....

Life has been crazy here just like at everyone else's house! Billing for the business, kiddos, cooking and laundry pretty much keep me hopping!! =) The latest challenge for our family has been Kate's atopic dermatitis--pretty specific form of eczema..and yes, its the same one I had as a child, but Kate's is much worse than mine in that it is all over her--arms, legs, ankles, feet, hands, wrists, back of her neck and some days on her face...she itches quite frequently, and is fussy at times, but overall is a little princess that loves to smile, play, laugh, and talk....she has really started showing her personality in stores, when she yells...HI!!! to everyone we meet! We took her to 2 different doctors last week, actually, I took her to one....got really upset as he wrote me out 5 different prescriptions for her and basically told me it was chronic and she would have to fight it forever...which I know did not happen to me, vitamins and prayer healed my problem years ago and I only have flares when I am highly stressed or have major hormone changes like with pregnancy. All of my research on Kate led me to info about the rash I had while pregnant both times...yep, probably was just my old atopic dermatitis flaring. Lovely. Why can't doctors tell you those things when you are PAYING them money.....guess, that just means God wants us to remember to lean on Him, not man.

I just wanted to cry though, that a doctor would offer me five prescriptions to put in her little body, when all the time I was pregnant and nursing I was sooo careful about what I was giving her--and now, they think I would just cram her full of meds that never helped my condition as a kid, and will effect her down the road...I think NOT. We took her then to a homeopathic nurse practitioner--wonderful man, who actually gave me lots more info and told me it was more than likely a milk allergy (which we had pretty much figured out on our own) he gave us several options to try and we did...not much change though, although we do think the key is in the foods she is eating, so slowly we have eliminated the main ones that make her flare--which now means no dairy, no wheat, no citrus and no refined sugar. All big bad triggers for skin allergies. Supposedly, it is usually only one to two items that are actually doing it--but if we can eliminate these then hopefully, we can slowly add them back in and find the real culprit. Also, we have put her on some vitamins to help her skin---and we are also using olive oil in her bath water to help with the dryness. We may appear to be fanatic, but hey, if it works, we will be so glad, it sure can' t hurt to only eat foods the way God made them and intended for them to be eaten---sounds like a win-win situation to us. Pray for her though....its really a miserable way to live for a little one, and people really don't understand it so they usually think its contagious...which it of course is NOT....Pics are of--the kids with our fall decorations, Kate coloring her hair with ketchup (before it got cut from her diet too) , Connor on school picture day, and two pics of Kate's rash at its worst on Sunday. Thanks for your prayers. Love you all--Kan

Lunch Bunch at the Park

Well, the clouds had us worried for a little while this morning, but by the time we arrived at the Park, all was well!!!

It was actually a beautiful day for being at the park---overcast and a little breezy...the kiddos had a great time!

They played and I snapped pics like a crazy camera lady! Kate was the first to eat her lunch because, yes, we took her "bun-box" (lunch box in Kate jabber)....so once she saw me get it out of the van and put it in her stroller she decided it was time to eat! She was quite the prissy little thing walking up to the park area all by herself..my my my she thinks she is sooo big! Then there were the big kids...Princess Kathleen and her knight in shining armour,Connor, who later became the prince and went on to be the King all in one playdate! David was the Castle dragon for a little while, then decided...nah, that wasn't for him...he was having more fun climbing and making faces for my camera! Our littlest ones in the playgroup are all showing their personalities now, and they are adorable! The youngest in the group is already 1! Happy Belated Bday Miss Karissa! Where does the time go??? Pics are of Connor and his gal pal Kathleen...Kate and her buddy Jason...Best Buds Jason & Daniel...David's Special Trick....The Big 1 yr old-Karissa.

Do we have some cutie pie kids or what????!!!

Bugaloo Supper

I think most of you know, we joined MOMS club when we moved to Pilot Point, and through it we met some really cool familes...which we then created our own playgroup with and branched off from the main big club. Our playgroup is called the Bugaloos...(can you tell how old all of us moms are? that was the name of a kid show when we were little)...we meet when we can for lunch and/or let the kids play...and when we can get our schedules together we have family dinners and the dads come too. Saturday night our family hosted the cookout..originally another mom had planned to host, but her family ended up with a yucky stomach bug, so we invited everyone to meet at our house. We sure missed having Ceci's family there but....We had a blast! Everyone brought a dish, and we grilled dogs...we stayed outside til the moon came out and the bugs started biting..then we headed inside where the little kids played in Kate's room and the bigger kids watched a Jimmy Neutron movie. 5 families including ours were there, which each have a child about Connor's age and a child about Kate's age. We were all pregnant with the second babies together! Anywho, we had a total of 19 people there, 9 adults, 10 kiddos! 2 of our youngest, Jason and Jorja are turning 2 in the next few weeks so we sang Happy Bday to them and Ms. Leslie made cupcakes for everyone...Yummo! One of the hardest things about moving in the future will be leaving our great friends...wahhhhh....but it will give them all a place to visit for summer vacations though!!! =)

Pics are of Connor and his buddy Matthew watching Jimmy Neutron; Jason, Sam, Jaret and his little sister Jorja; Kate and Willow "Wiwwow" as Kate calls her; and the last one is just an awesome Pic of Sam--Kate's buddy who was born 3 days before her.

Til next time~Kan

As Promised................

Here are the pics we took Friday morning before school...Connor Bonnor with his lunch box trying to catch the last few minutes of one of his shows before leaving for school, Miss Priss with her lunch box, yes, I know, it is as big as she is...but she is sooo proud to carry her own, just like Bubba. Plus, she is VERY aware there is FOOD for her in there so she won't let anyone touch it! The last one is just too cute of our little princess cheesin' for the camera. If you've noticed, its a little hard to catch her smiling...she smiles a lot, but when you try to snap a pic she has this totally solemn face and you can't get a smile out of her! Diva in training?! Lord, help us!! haha ~Later, Kan

First Day of School...Preschool that is!!

Connor and Kate's first day of preschool for the Fall Session was today! They both did great! Connor was so excited to see his friends, he missed the last 2 weeks of Wacky Wednesday Summer School because of busting his chin open...so he was really happy to go back! Kate had a hard time when I handed her off to her teacher, but Ms. Kim is wonderful and Kate did really well to be such a little one! She even carried her own pink Scooby Doo lunch box like a big girl! (Of course, it was as big as she is and looks somewhat like a suitcase...but it made her feel big to carry hers like Bubba does.) The batteries in my camera died, so I will try to get a pic of them on Friday before school so everyone can see them with their bags and lunch boxes. Chad has meetings in Louisiana today and tomorrow, so say prayers that all will go well for him. I talked with him this afternoon, and so far so good! With both kiddos at school today I actually got some work done for Chad at the office, ran a couple of errands, and bought a few groceries, its been QUITE a while since I got everything on my "to do" list done for one day...and that I actually remembered the list at all!!!
Maybe I DO have a FEW brain cells left after 2 kids..LOL~Later, Kan

Happy Labor Day!!!

Hiddy! Its Labor Day...and I should be washing clothes...but I thought I would update our blog, especially since I was told this past week that there are actually people that READ it...haha! The past few days went something like this...the kids and I went to Paris on Friday afternoon (just for a few hours) to see Nana and Papa--Aunt Cin Cin made a pop in visit so we got to see her for a little bit which we were very glad about since we missed her Birthday/

Well wishes party today---then the kids and I met Chad at Lake Fork on Friday night to spend the weekend at the Lake. Chris and Monica and their gang met us on Saturday. The kids had a complete blast! Riding PaPa's gator, tubing, swimming and playing under the deck in the dirt were the favorites this trip. Since Connor's allergies are giving him fits he wasn't his usual rough and rowdy self but he still had a great time. I think his meds are kicking his tail a little. Kate and Cody decided to learn how to navigate steps and camper trailer doors this trip so they kept all of us hoppin' to keep up with them! Everyone had a great time and hated to part company--but now its back to the old grind, work, school...and LAUNDRY! Yucko! Oh, well, it just makes us look forward to the next time even more. Maybe this week we will know a little more about moving to Baton Rouge and we can start planning what we all want to do for the holidays! Sure would help to know if I am driving 1 1/2 hours or 7 hours to see everyone so we would know how many events we will be able to make...maybe soon we will know! Keep praying for us..we want to make the right decision and find the right house and place for the business! Better run for now before Chad catches me playing on the computer instead of getting all of our camping stuff put up! Til Next time...Kan

Well, Hellllloooo, Again!

Okay, Okay, you all know I am not the most computer literate person around, but I am going to give this a shot--one more time. All is well here...the kids are growing like weeds. Connor is 4 but looks like he is 7, Kate is 16 months but thinks she is 4 like her big Bubba. They are loads of fun to watch! We are planning to go to Six Flags this weekend with our buddies from Kilgore...Connor is counting down the days! Chad and I have not been in soooo many years it is not even funny, so we should all have a great time! I will add pics soon...my computer is quite slow, gotta love dial up. More soon......Kan

Weekend in Paris

Hi, everyone!
This is our first attempt at our own blog spot...so bear with us as this may be a work in progress!!
We are in Paris for the Labor day weekend...and will be back in Pilot Point, America late Sunday night.
