I don't have time for this post today, I don't have time to be sitting here on my computer...checking out the latest news on facebook, checking my friend's list of daily prayer requests that she posts there for all of us to see the needs of our family and friends, I don't have time to read my Sister's blog, or my Cousin's, I don't have time to sit and think of what I would like to blog today, or what cute, funny, neat things my kids did worth blogging about, I don't have time to tell you about the fact that we really need to get a dog at our house because our little Andy is so very missed. Especially by me. I don't have time because you see there is so much to do today: Landmark bills to pay, P.O.'s to request, papers to be filed, a house to clean, laundry to fold and hang, birthday cake ingredients to buy for my Princess (who by the way wants Princesses on one side of the cake...the left to be exact...and Dora on the right.) supper to be lined out for tonight, a birthday gift for a loved one to be delivered, and a shipment to be received and put away in the shop. No, I don't have time for this....but yet, I know, if I don't make time for the small things..those precious moments that do NOT involve cleaning and laundry..but instead make memories with our families or the little things that keep this Momma going...like blogging...then I can't greet each little face in my life today with a smile or each item on my to do list without a groan. So I will make time for this...take a breath...and then grab my to do list...and RUN!!!
Have yourself a memory making kinda day!! Hugs~Kan

Ever had one of those days????

Just pondering tonight...have you ever had one of those days that nothing seems to go right? Where you feel like at the end of the day that all of the decisions you made should have been a little bit better, a little more thought out or a little less rash? Or that the words you spoke throughout the day should have been a little bit kinder, spoken a little bit sweeter, or just plain not been said at all? Yeah, I think we all have those days. The point of them though, is to not repeat them. To learn from them. Remember you are a human who makes mistakes, that thankfully, serves a God who is able to grant you grace and mercy along with each new day. I want 2010 to be the year that I become that woman I see in my mind when I write my New Year's Resolutions...the one that cherishes each and every day..and the one that holds close and tightly the precious people I wake up with in my little world every day. ~Hugs, Kan

~2009 In a Nutshell~

Hello, all!! It seems 2009 just flew by! Although, as it was passing I did not feel that way! haha!
After nearly 8 months in the camper we finally moved into our new home in November! Praise the LORD! We feel so very blessed to have this wonderful home..near our families..to raise our kiddos! Life in the camper was hard on everyone...especially our children...for they too felt the stress of living in a small space and not having all of the little things that they enjoyed in their rooms. Having all your toys packed up except for a just a few or having them scattered to Nana's and MeMe's can be traumatic for a little person....but they handled it like little troopers. We all did...well, you know, except for my occasional meltdowns (every 3-4 weeks) when I would tell anyone who would listen that I could not DO THIS any longer...and then, I would be reminded by someone, usually my Mom...that YES, I COULD do this...with the Good Lord's help! lol!
The most difficult event during the building of our home, was the loss of our beloved poodle. Andrew was 12 1/2 years old, and after a very loved and spoiled life his little heart could not handle chasing "smells" and being our "Wild Poozle" anymore...and with deep sorrow, Chad and I were by his side when he passed from this world. He has a special place on our land and he will forever be in our hearts. What an awesome little friend he was to all of us.
The highlights of the holiday season were that our family was able to host Thanksgiving Lunch, a Christmas Eve Family Get-Together, and even have both sets of cousins come and spend the night during Christmas Break....it was a BLAST! No packing...no traveling...ahhhhh...just what Chad and I have dreamed of for the past 5 years!! =)
Now, we are anxious to see what 2010 will bring!
